What are Guardians?
Guardians are the trusted people you nominate to access parts of your vault. You choose exactly what each Guardian can see, so the right people can find what they need if something happened to you.
What are Future Messages?
Future Messages let you leave written or video messages for the people you love, delivered when the time is right. A way to share words that matter, in your own voice.
What is the Inactivity Safeguard?
It's a gentle check-in system. If we're unable to reach you over a set period, Lyff follows a careful, staged process before any access is shared with the trusted people you've chosen.
What happens to my information if Lyff shuts down?
Your information always belongs to you, and you can download everything you've stored at any time. In the unlikely event Lyff were to close, we'd give you clear notice and time to export your vault, so nothing important is ever lost.
How much does Lyff cost?
There's a free plan to start, and paid plans from $8.99 a month. You can choose monthly, annual, or lifetime billing, and upgrade or change your plan whenever you like.
What is a Custodian?
A Custodian is a trusted professional, like your financial adviser, accountant, or solicitor, who you invite to access specific documents in your vault. You choose exactly what each Custodian can see, and you can change or remove their access at any time. It's a secure way to share the right information with the people who help look after your affairs.

How do I add someone to my Family plan?
You invite each person by email from your account. They set up their own secure login, and they're added to your shared family space with the access you've chosen.
What happens to my information if I cancel?
Your information always belongs to you. If you decide to cancel, you'll be able to download what you've stored, so nothing important is ever lost.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There's no lock-in. You can change or cancel your plan whenever you like, and you'll always be able to download what you've stored.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan lets you store your most important documents and one care directive, a simple way to begin. You can upgrade whenever you're ready for more.
Do my Guardians need to pay for Lyff?
No. The people you nominate don't need their own paid plan to be given access to what you've shared with them.
Your data & the Company
What happens to my data if Lyff is bought by another company?
Your information would remain protected under the same privacy commitments you signed up to. Any change in ownership wouldn't change your right to access, control, or remove your information, and we'd always let you know if anything affecting your data were to change.
What makes Lyff different from just using cloud storage?
Cloud storage holds your files. Lyff is built around your family, with trusted access for the right people, messages for the future, and safeguards that make sure nothing is ever lost or left unreachable.
People & Access
Can my financial adviser or solicitor access my vault?
Yes, if you invite them. Lyff Custodians let trusted professionals access only what you grant them, nothing more, making it easy to share the right documents securely.
Can Lyff staff read my documents?
Your vault is protected with strong encryption and strict access controls. Lyff is built so your information stays private to you and the people you nominate.
Who can see what I store?
Only you, unless you choose otherwise. You decide which trusted people can access specific folders, and you can change or remove that access at any time.
Is my data used to train AI or for any other purpose?
No. Your information is stored solely so you and your trusted people can access it. It's not analysed, mined, or used for any purpose beyond keeping it safe and available to you.
Can I access Lyff on my phone?
Yes. Lyff works across your devices, so your family's important information is securely within reach whenever you need it.

Why do I have to have Two Factor Authentication?
Due to the sensitive nature of some of the stored information it's very important that we take every avenue to make accounts as secure as possible.Two Factor and passphrases are best practice.
How secure is my information?
Your vault is protected with bank-level encryption and multi-factor sign-in, and your data is hosted securely in Australia. Keeping your family's information safe is what Lyff is built for.
What if I forget my password?
You'll be able to recover access securely through the steps we guide you through at sign-up. Because your vault is encrypted, setting up your recovery options when you join is important, we'll walk you through it.
How secure is my information?

Planning Ahead
What happens to my vault if something happened to me?
The trusted people you've nominated can be given access to what you've chosen for them, through the safeguards you've set up. Nothing important is left out of reach, and your wishes are followed exactly as you set them.
Is Lyff only for older Australians?
Not at all. Lyff is for any family who wants their important information organised, secure, and ready, whether you're starting a family, supporting ageing parents, or simply getting life in order.
How does the Family plan work?
The Family plan covers up to 6 people. You invite each member by email, they set up their own secure login, and everyone shares access to the family's important things in one place.
